Coach Parties
Coach parties are very welcome at the Winchester Cathedral and the Christmas Market. Through a dedicated Group Visits Coordinator, Winchester Cathedral is able to provide outstanding assistance for groups wishing to make a visit at Christmas. We ask that all groups planning a visit contact us in advance. Although there is no charge to visit the Christmas Market we do offer a friendly ‘meet and greet’ service for all coaches from the coach drop off point at the Broadway. This not only helps the group organizer or guide but it allows us to effectively manage the traffic using the coach drop off point and coach parking. In addition, a new exhibition for 2010, The Jane Austen Story, is on permanent display in the Cathedral. To complement this show, a special exhibition of costumes from the television and film adaptations of Jane Austen’s novels will also be on display for the duration of the Christmas Market. Further information about all the activities taking place in the Cathedral will be confirmed shortly.
